Introduction Participating in a mathematics competition allows pupils to sharpen their problem solving abilities and serves to generate awareness for arithmetic among them. Annually, there are numerous math olympiads which primary school pupils may participate in and some of the more prominient ones are outlined in this article. There are two rounds in this math competition for sixth graders.

Students must show all the workings of every question. Each question carries 10 marks and a total score is 60 marks.

National Mathematical Olympiad of Singapore The NMOS is a competition organized by the NUS High School of Math and Science. This competition was designed to spur interest among students for mathematics. This opposition is generally held in the months of July August and embraces pupils in Primary 5 and below to participate to challenge their mettle with some other mathletes. Various awards are given to pupils who managed to accomplish quality scores in opposition. Typically the registration starts in May of each year. American Math Contest 8 The American Math Contest 8 is the to begin a number of math contests organized by Mathematical Association of America and is managed by mathematical Oasis Pte Ltd in Singapore.
